The vast majority of ministry operations at CrossWay is accomplished through an army of volunteers. As a community of Christ-followers on a journey together, we recognize that we are not merely consumers, but also contributors. The culture of CrossWay is such that every part of the family is invited and expected to use their talents, their time and their treasures to serve one another and the world around us. This is how our mission is fulfilled.

Volunteer Opportunities

Small Group Host Home
Host a small group in your home twice per month. Some small groups rotate meeting places and have multiple hosts, so a host family might host only once per month. The host is responsible for providing the place to gather. Home group coaches facilitate the group session.

DiscoveryLand Teacher
Serve one Sunday every 4 - 6 weeks. Responsible for teaching Biblical lessons for children. Lessons provided. Preparation required. Object lessons, activities and crafts are utilized in conjunction with sessions. A national criminal background check is performed on all volunteers who work directly with children.

DiscoveryLand Teacher Assistant
Serve one Sunday every 4 - 6 weeks. Primary responsibilities are assisting teachers, supervising children and helping with crafts and activities. A national criminal background check is performed on all volunteers who work directly with children.

DiscoveryLand Check-in
Serve one Sunday every 4 - 6 weeks. Responsible for assisting parents with checking in children for DiscoveryLand and providing general information to guests about children's services.

Security Force (Bouncers)
Serve one Sunday every 4 - 6 weeks. Provides a secure environment by monitoring the the halls and lobby of the theatre during worship.

Clean Team
Help clean the lobby, auditoriums, toys, and equipment pre- and/or post-worship on Sunday mornings.

Cafe CrossWay
Serve refreshments, help setup and/or clean up refreshment area.

Resource/Info Tables
Assist in dissemination and collection of information through sign-up sheets. Provide general information about available resources. Help set up and/or breakdown information & resource tables.

Set Up Crew
Set up equipment and classrooms for Sunday worship. Take down same.

Tech Team
Specialized volunteer position. Work with video/audio/computer equipment for worship production. Training provided. Affinity for all things multimedia needed.

Meals
Prepare and deliver a (one) meal to someone who is sick or bereaved. (As needed.)

Events Volunteer
Work with coordinators to plan, resource and staff various church events.

Hospitality
Smiling face required. Welcome worshippers, provide worship guides, and point directions.
